Triangle of Triangles

Twinsie Tuesday again! This week's prompt is "Studs or Embellishments." I usually don't wear any charms on my nails... I usually end up picking at them lol. So I wasn't feeling that inspired by this prompt... I didn't know where I was going with this I just started fiddling with my rhinestone wheel from Born Pretty Store. Use my code SL10K31 for 10% off!

To stick on the triangles I used a dot of top coat for each triangle gem and placed them individually. I found it easiest to pick up the triangles with my finger (like you would pick up a contact lens) and place with my finger. Since the back is flat you can slide it around a bit if you need to adjust. I waited for each one to dry before applying the next one. I finished by applying another coat of top coat to seal in the triangle gems. I ended up with a pool of topcoat in the middle of them though haha oops. Also I don't know if it's just me but I swear the triangles are different sizes? The left one looks bigger to me.

Base is 2 coats of Sinful Colors Endless Blue. This is a really nice bright cobalt blue. Formula on this was pretty good... It was pigmented but I needed the second coat to even it out. It dried pretty glossy on its own but I always use top coat anyway. This is pretty close to Color Club Bright Night but dries much more glossy than Bright Night.

What do you think of this mani? Do you like having charms on your nails?

Don't forget to show the other Twinsies some love!

  2. i really like the simplicity of this mani, the intense blue with that aqua bright color of the stones and i like that a simple accent nail with three triangles makes it special.

  3. Its simple but effective. I don't wear a lot of studs or embellishments all that much but sometimes, there fun to wear even though they don't last that long on my nails.

  10. I can never wear studs for very long either. Usually two days max, otherwise I will pick them off too!
