Finger Paints Surf's Up with black and white geometric accent nail

Happy Friday girls! I'm extra excited for Friday this week since I'm off to Mexico for a destination wedding on Sunday!

I'm trying to challenge myself to do more accent nails / skittlette manis since I normally have the same thing on all my nails.

Here's what I used:
2 coats Color Club Bright Night
1 coat Finger Paints Surf's Up

Accent nail:
2 coats Layla No. 23 White
Plate is Pueen 11
Konad black stamping polish

Color Club Bright Night is easily my favourite polish. It's a beautiful cobalt blue with a nice slightly jelly finish. It applies like a dream... slightly runny but very easy to control and self levels nicely. It dries pretty quickly. It dries to a semi matte finish which I find useful since it's easy to tell when it is dried.

I was planning to wear Bright Night on its own, but unfortunately I have a few nails that are peeling right now and you could see the bumps from the peeling through Bright Night. My nails are usually pretty good so I didn't notice this issue with Bright Night before. Anyway that's why I ended up putting Finger Paints Surf's Up on top. I do like the almost glass fleck look this has though :)

I like the way the geometric pattern looks with the blue. What do you think of this mani?

  1. Very nice! I've been so busy that I haven't been wearing a lot of nail polish myself. Your weekend sounds like its going to be fun too.

    1. thanks! I really love black/white patterns with colors... i've been noticing a lot of girls around the office with outfits like that and it's what inspired my mani :)
