Multi color toothbrush splatter mani over nude

Sorry again! I'm still horribly behind on posting! Anyway here is a quick post from me!

This mani was really fun to do. I actually got my boyfriend to do the splatter for me lol! I didn't want to get paint all over my hands or wear gloves and have to do only one hand at a time.

I started with a base of OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons (2-3 coats). For the splatter I used acrylic paints diluted with a bit of water. I was thinking nude + neons when I picked out the colors but I think my nude polish is a bit too dark. I think an off white creme color polish would have been better. Also the colors of the acrylic paint became more muted when diluted so i think the end result is a bit muddled looking.

But it was so much fun doing the splatter with my boyfriend that I think this is honestly one of my favorite manis anyway! We made such a mess in the bathroom! Look at the bath tub! Luckily acrylic paint washes off pretty easily especially if it's still wet.

Here is a shot of my mani before any clean up or top coat. I think some of the paint drops were too big and ended up getting dragged off by the top coat. See the blobs on my left index and how they just became outlines in the final mani? :( oh well!

Here is the tutorial I followed by Oh My Gosh Polish if you want to give this a try! :)
