Valentine's Day Mani 2017

Hi everyone! Sorry about the lack of posts... I've been feeling a bit uninspired lately :( Anyway I hope that everyone has a good Valentine's Day! I don't really celebrate it but I do enjoy buying discounted candy afterwards! :) I also totally forgot until now (Monday night!) that today is also a Twinsie Tuesday day... This week's theme is "Inspired by the Season" so a Valentine's Day mani kind of fits here... I guess? Haha oops

I started with 2 coats of The Face Shop PK01, a nice soft dusty kind of dirty pink. I really like this pink... it's feminine and sophisticated... Definitely not bright or too young looking. The formula was creamy and a bit thick but in a way that made it easier to control. It almost covered in one coat but there were a few slightly patchy spots.

On my index nail I stamped with Layla No. 24 black polish and Born Pretty Store plate BP-L013. Use my code SL10K31 for 10% off! I ran out of black stamping polish and this polish was runnier than what I'm used to... So I accidentally smudged the stamping :(

For my middle nail I folded a piece of scotch tape in half and then cut out a heart shaped hole. I stuck this stencil on my nail and painted over with OPI Black Shatter. I saw a pictorial for this several years ago and unfortunately don't remember who posted it now. If you know please let me know so I can give proper credit!

On my ring and pinky I did the dry brush technique using OPI Lost on Lombard. On my ring I also stamped with Layla No. 24 black polish and Born Pretty Store plate QGirl-020.

What do you think of this mani? What do you think of Valentine's day? Any plans?
