Ok so... I said I would do a nail challenge this month... and the month is almost half over already but better late than never right? Today's prompt is Glitter / Animal Print. I really like how this challenge has options!
I had trouble figuring out what to use as a base under this glitter. There's so many colors in it I couldn't think of a base color that would match all the colors in it! I tried light blue (Color Club Evolution) and purple (Color Club Pucci-licious) but felt both were too colorful and Easter looking for my mood haha
I asked my friend and she suggested black but I wanted something lighter for spring, although it is quite bold over black! Then she suggested white but I didn't want white since there is white glitter in here that wouldn't show... But then I thought of grey! I think grey works quite well... The red and blue with the grey is striking and the pink, light green and white look nice with it also.
This Face Shop Glitter doesn't have a name just GLI024. It has small hex glitters in white, red, and blue, and medium hex glitters in white, pink, and light green. The formula wasn't very good unfortunately. There was way too much base and the bigger glitters kept slipping off the brush and were hard to get out. This is one coat applied with a makeup sponge.
Also... this polish has an expiry date?! I didn't know polish expired ever... I can't imagine what would go bad in it... it's full of chemicals lol... And so soon? I just bought this in April!
China Glaze Sea Spray is a light blue grayish color with very subtle shimmer. Formula was really nice... Thick in a way that made it easy to control and cover. Shown is two coats.
Here's the rest of the prompts if you're interested in joining :)
