Happy Easter! Hope everyone has a good long weekend! I JUST did my Easter mani last night so hopefully I'll have it posted later this weekend. Here's a swatch from a while ago :)
Essie Saltwater Happy is a really beautiful pale blue creme polish. Formula is perfect... It's incredibly pigmented for such a light color. This is aaaalmost a one coater... There were just a few spots that were slightly patchy. With more careful application or a thicker coat you could get away with one coat.
Sadly this chipped VERY quickly on me... I got two large chips on the second day. I don't remember ever having Essie polish chip like this! :'( Polish typically lasts 4 or 5 days on me before chipping... and even then I usually only get small chips. I used the same base coat (OPI Nail Envy) and top coat (Color Club's Club Clear) that I always use. Such a shame since I love the color and formula so much! Hopefully this will last better with a different base/top coat combination.
Wow, the shade is beautiful! Essie doesn't chip on my nails fast, but id does wipe off at tips quickly.
ReplyDeleteThanks aneta! I usually don't have issues with Essie. I find the tips wipe off quickly for me with a lot of shimmer polishes but cremes are usually fine
DeleteGreat color and its always nice to hear that a polish is almost a one coater too. Its too bad this one chipped on you so fast.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! Yeah :( I usually don't have issues with Essie
