Rainbow gradient chevron stamping for Busy Girl Nails

This week's Busy Girl Nails prompt is Rainbow. I decided to do a rainbow gradient across my nails in a chevron pattern, inspired by this mani from Nail Polish Wars. I don't have any chevron nail vinyls so I did some multi color stamping instead, using 2 colors per nail. I can't find the original tutorial post that I read anymore :( I read it a long time ago and I was meaning to try it out but never got around to it. I think the tutorial is by Michelle at Lacquer or Leave Her! but I can't seem to find the post on her blog... I don't remember maybe it's by someone else? Let me know if you think you know which tutorial I'm talking about! Anyway you paint the different polishes onto your stamping plate image, scrape across the image with your scraper (in the same direction as the stripes of polish), and then keep scraping the excess pool of polish back and forth across your image a few times to blend the colors in the middle. Then pick up the polish with your stamper as usual and stamp! It was surprisingly easy :)

Personally I like the way my index finger and ring finger turned out best. You can really see 3 different colors! The middle finger and pinky finger don't have as nice of a gradient in my opinion but that's also to do with the polishes I guess. The yellow I think was a bit too light and didn't show up well.

Btw if you're wondering my thumb is red/orange. The gradient turned out okay but the image was way too small for my thumb nail so it didn't turn out well so I'm not posting pictures of it. I think the edge of my index nail still could pass for red though! So I'll still count this as a full rainbow :)

What I used:
Pueen plate 03
Layla - unnamed white polish
Color Club - Tech Red*
Color Club - Yodel Yellow*
Color Club - Screen Green*
Color Club - Endless Summer
Color Club - Yahoo Purple*
(Color Club - Mamba for the red that isn't shown)
*I won these polishes in a giveaway... I don't think they are available for purchase anywhere... sorry!

There's one more prompt left if you would like to join us!
