Twinsie Tuesday: Coffee Inspired

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is "Coffee Inspired." I'm not really a coffee drinker... I love the taste of Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk but unfortunately caffeine makes my heart race and irritates my stomach :(

I started with Julep Fiore as my base and stamped with Pueen plate SE04A and an unlabeled Cosmetic Arts polish. For my accent nail I used OPI You're So Vain-illa as my base and stamped with Julep Fiore and Born Pretty Store plate QGirl-020. Use my code SL10K31 for 10% off! :)

I thought the small cup reminded me of coffee more than the larger mug so I went with that image instead. I used my clean up brush to erase the tea bag tag while the image was on the stamper. Unfortunately I think I took too long... The image dried and was hard to transfer from the stamper to my nail :( I tried to stamp over it again but couldn't line it up exactly. I thought about re-doing it but at that point I was just &%&^% since I dinged my base before stamping and had to redo that nail already and didn't want to do 3 coats again. The image was engraved well though and I didn't have any trouble using the plate.

This was my first time trying Julep. On the Julep website Fiore is described as an "espresso brown creme." This is quite a dark brown... A bit too dark for my personal liking. I like the Julep brush... It's flat like the OPI one but much skinnier and square (not flared out or tapered at all). The formula was a little bit too thin for my liking but it wasn't bad... I personally prefer thicker polishes. Unfortunately this didn't wear well on me. I had a few chips after only 2 days which is very fast for me... I usually go 4-5 days without changing my polish.

What do you think of this mani? Do you drink coffee? Have you tried Julep before?

Don't forget to show the other Twinsies some love!
