Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by the Season

I wasn't sure what to with this week's theme, "Inspired by the Season." I don't really like typical fall colours like brown and orange so I grabbed other colours that I thought were vampy enough for fall... Color Club Gossip Column and Snow Queen

Since I recently bought some liquid latex from a Halloween store I decided to give watermarbling another try since I haven't done a watermarble in a long time.

I watermarbled with Color Club Gossip Column, Snow Queen, and Soft Chiffon over a white base (Layla No. 23).  Soft Chiffon is a milky white polish and is great at really pushing out the other rings of polish in the water.

Index: 1 coat of Color Club Gossip Column (with basecoat and one coat of Soft Chiffon underneath to prevent staining) swatch and review here

Pinky: 3 coats of Color Club Snow Queen swatch and review here

My lines are kind of squiggly and wonky... I don't know why I can't get nice even curved lines when I make my watermarble design :( I also had an issue with Snow Queen bleeding into Soft Chiffon... It created an interesting gradient effect though on my middle finger.

Here's my right hand... my boyfriend said my middle finger looks like a geode haha. Also Gossip Column bled everywhere on my ring finger blahh! It looks kind of interesting in a way though I guess... sighs

Don't forget to show the other Twinsies some love!

  1. Your nails look so good! The watermarble looks pretty nice too, much better than any of the ones I've attempted before.

  3. I agree - it does look like a geode! I really love the colors you picked for this prompt, just to break up the monotony of Halloween/Fall oranges, browns, and yellows.

    1. Thanks Andrea! Ya liquid latex is so useful! Just make sure you don't accidentally touch your fingers together or they'll get stuck and the latex will come off haha

  10. Your marbling is perfection! Love it. I've tried it a few times - the most memorable time being when I forgot to tape off my fingers first.......the mess!!!!
