Color Club - Gossip Column

Running a bit late with this week's Monday Blues but here it is! Just a simple swatch today.

This is Color Club Gossip Column 2 coats. It is pigmented enough for one coat, but I accidentally dragged off some polish when I went over spots twice. With very careful application, one coat would be enough! Great formula and application. This is a nice dusty slightly teal blue. It looks more blue in pictures but it is actually slightly teal in real life. Stupid camera.

Only complaint is that I think this one will be a stainer. Cleanup wasn't pretty. Luckily I didn't make too many mistakes (but you can kind of see it on the side of my ring finger nail). I'm worried about taking this off I think I'm going to end up with smurf hands!!!

Anyone have any tips for removing polish without it leaving blue stains? Keep in mind that the polish is already on my nails... so while a particular base coat might help me in future... it's too late with this mani! :p I've heard that putting lots of remover on your cotton helps... also not using the same part of the cotton again... not applying too much pressure... only swiping in one direction from cuticle to tip... Any other tips? Or tips on removing said stains?

Don't forget to check out the other Monday Blues! :)

**EDIT** oopsie! I put the February linkup instead of the March linkup... I was wondering why there were so many already! lol!

  1. Its a great color but yikes that it seems like a stainer. I don't have any tips on how to reduce the amount of stain but hope it isn't too bad once you take it off.

  2. The color looks great! Yea, I can just imagine the staining. I think all the things you mentioned will be the best way to remove these kinds of polishes for the least amount of staining :)

    1. Guess we can't have it all haha... pigmented one coaters that don't stain are just wishful thinking :(

  3. Nice shade! I have issues with blues and greens staining too. I think sometimes not having too much remover on is better because the excess spreads to your skin. I tend to remove the polish. Then I take a clean cotton pad and do it again and then I wash my hands several times. I think I've heard of using lemon and baking soda, too? Maybe google that!

    1. you're right! if you have too much remover the run-off goes everywhere... floods cuticles... goes under the white part of your nail... but i think not enough is bad too because then you have to press on it... needs to be just the right amount :) it wasn't TOO bad... i had to go over it a few times but it was manageable :)
