Hi everyone! Today I have a holiday Twinsie Tuesday post! I actually completely forgot about this post since we took December off and I don't really check my Facebook anymore... Too many ads! And it really bothers me that you have to pay Facebook or your posts only show up in a few peoples' news feeds (for my nail page... for personal pages posts will still show up). Anyways... So I'm not really sure if this counts as a holiday mani but it's what I have haha. I was originally going to use this for Nail Polish Canada's Winter Nail Art contest. I wasn't that happy with it though so I ended up submitting this one instead.
If you read my blog then you've already seen the base of this mani... A few of you said it looked like a cloudy sky so I decided to add snowflakes to the sky :)
For those of you who didn't see that post... I did a Ziploc bag smoosh mani. I used Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (original!), Essie Bikini So Teeny, and Layla No. 23. My camera had issues photographing Pacific Blue and it looks much brighter than it really is. Bikini So Teeny didn't photograph that well either... it kind of ends up looking like wisps of white instead... And my skin looks so yellow blah!
Anyway this technique is really easy! You basically just put a few dots of polish on your nail, cover with a piece of ziploc bag (I prefer the thick freezer bags but you can use any plastic), and then gently squish the polish around. I also slide the plastic around a bit... just be careful not to over mix it or your nail will look muddled. Here's a video tutorial.
Then I stamped using Essie No Place Like Chrome and Pueen 25.
Don't forget to show the other Twinsies some love!
