Happy Friday! I think these nails are maybe too spring looking for December? Haha oh well... I started with a base of Essie Groove is in the Heart... a cute light bubblegum pink creme. The formula was fairly good for such a light color. It covers in 2-3 coats depending on application... Shown is 2 coats on my swatch hand but I needed 3 coats on Cinderella hand.
I liked this in the bottle but I ended up not liking it on my nails. I feel like it's too girly and kind of Barbie looking? Not my cup of tea but the formula is pretty good if you like this kind of color. I was obsessed with this kind of pink from age 14-17 lol
Anyway I didn't want to redo my nails completely so I ended up adding to it the next day instead. I love the way the pink, green, and white look together in Swanette / Nail Stamp 4 Fun 's flamingo mani so I used the same colours in a ziploc bag smoosh mani. I used Essie Mojito Madness and Layla No. 23 (white).
This technique is really easy! You basically just put a few dots of polish on your nail, cover with a piece of ziploc bag (I prefer the thick freezer bags but you can use any plastic), and then gently squish the polish around. I also slide the plastic around a bit... just be careful not to over mix it or your nail will look muddled. Here's a video tutorial :)
The colors are very Spring like but its still very pretty :)
