My Polish Collection

Hi everyone! Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is "Share Your Polish Collection." I always find it interesting to see how other people organize their polish! My collection isn't that big... Well for a nail blogger! I guess it's all relative... Bigger than a normal person's for sure! I think I probably have maybe 200-300 bottles but I haven't counted in a while.

First I have a nail polish display rack that I bought on Amazon years ago. Once upon a time this held my entire collection! Now I keep it on my polish desk to hold commonly used items - stamping plates and supplies, liquid latex, base coats, top coats, a good black and white base polish, stamping polish, nail file, clippers, toe separators, cuticle oils.

The rest of my polish collection is held in one white Ikea Helmer. I've been meaning to decorate it forever... I even bought drawer liners for it about half a year ago... but that's still unopened lol

The polishes are organized by color/type. I used to have an untried drawer but I found it annoying to look in two places when I was looking for a particular shade... my untrieds pile was a bit crazy for a while! Now I just mark any untried polishes (or polishes I haven't photographed for the blog yet) with a small hair tie to try to remind myself to use it!

Drawer #1 - Red/orange/pink/purple/coral/peach etc.

Drawer #2 - blue/green/teal/aqua etc... this one's getting full! :D

Drawer #3 - glitter toppers and my few yellows

Drawer #4 - mini sets, wear alone glitters, empty bottles

Drawer #5 - holos, metallics, black, white, nude, treatments

Drawer #6 - texture polishes, iridescent shimmer/flakie toppers, other

  8. I put a anti-slip paper in each drawer, you need to do this so polishes won't move when you open it

    1. Thanks Marry :) Maybe I'll switch to organizing by brand if/when my collection gets bigger... Right now I have too many different brands going on and not enough polishes of most brands so I think it'll look a bit random

  14. I love your organization! I'm thinking about changing mine to be sorted by color as well so that I can find polishes easier. I feel like I end up forgetting about polishes when I have them sorted by brand.

    1. Yeah sorting by color is definitely easier when you're searching for a specific shade... By brand looks nicer and is more compact to store though since the bottles would be the same size... I keep debating this haha
