HARE - Twilight Savings (3 coats, no undies)
This polish has been a forever lemming for me. I'm so happy I finally have it!!! I could never get it because Nikole always does her restocks at 3pm on weekdays and I'm always at work :( So glad I managed to get it from Jen's blogsale! Check out Jen's tumblr here! She seriously has such beautiful swatches!!!
Anyway on to the polish itself. Twilight Savings is medium sized silver squares and magenta microglitter in a blurple jelly base with some camera-shy pink shimmer. This polish is so unique I can't think of any polish that looks similar to it at all! I really love how the silver squares from the bottom layers peek through the jelly base. It has great depth to it. I used 3 coats here and didn't want to use any more of my precious polish! Also it was getting thick and the VNL wasn't getting much better. Next time I wear this I'll definitely try putting another polish underneath and just using 2 coats instead. The VNL was much more noticeable in pictures than in real life though. I think wearing undies would really help the glitter pop more. This polish wore quite well. I had it on for 3 days without any chipping or tip wear. I probably could have kept it on longer but had to change my polish because my thumb nail was flaking (the nail itself was flaking in layers not the polish). I was also amazed how easy this polish was to remove. I held down the pad with remover for about 5 seconds before I started wiping it back and forth. I only had to go back and forth with my remover about 3x per nail to get the glitter off. More effort than a creme polish don't get me wrong but nothing like some other glitters that are impossible to remove without the foil method or crazy scrubbing!
This is really pretty! I love the white square glitters!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really love the squares too they're so unique! I love the way they peek through the jelly base! Now I just need to get Star Tropics... it's like Twilight Savings on steroids!!! http://steffels.blogspot.ca/2012/05/hare-bisbee-and-star-tropics.html
