This is my first polish from Ciate. I know I have similar colors already but it came with my foil kit so I didn't pick this color.
Pepperminty is a light turquoise/aqua type color. Next to a Tiffany blue it looks more green but next to a true mint it looks much more blue. It also looks a bit more blue/green depending on the lighting. It definitely walks the line between blue and green but it is definitely gorgeous!
Application was decent but not impressive. It was thick and fairly pigmented but I found that you need a very light hand with the brush or else you end up with lines in the polish from the brush dragging across it. For this reason slightly thicker coats work better. Also try to avoid going over the same spot twice in the same coat. For this reason I ended up using 3 coats. All Lacquered Up used 2 coats for her swatch. I think next time I should be able to get away with 2 coats now that I know how this polish behaves. Shown with Color Club top coat.
On a side note, I like how the bottle is curved to prevent it from being knocked over easily. I'm always scared I'm going to knock over my American Apparel polishes for this reason!
Also I broke my lamp that I always use to take my nail pictures :( Time to find a new picture lamp! Hope my pictures don't look too crappy in the meantime!
Special thanks to Ariel for creating the link ups for Monday Blues! :)
