Ok here's another post for today so I can try to catch up! The theme for the 12th was "3D" and I personally don't like having any kind of 3D charms or anything on my nails so I decided to give sugar spun nails a try for the first time! :)
I'm pretty happy with how my index finger came out. The large globs of polish on my other fingers are kind of bothering me, especially the one on my ring finger. My ring finger also has these kind of criss-cross lines instead of lines going straight across because I couldn't get the polish strings long enough. I did my pinky first and my index last... can you tell? lol
Anyway the base polish is Essie - Infatuation and I used my almost empty bottle of Sally Hansen - Whirlwind White for the sugar spun design. It worked really well since it was at the very bottom of the bottle and was quite thick and also starts to dry and thicken quickly. Picture is without top coat.
What do you think of sugar spun nails? Have you ever given them a try?

Nice job on the sugar spun nails! I haven't done one of these in a while too. Love the pink and white combination!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! I'll have to do it again it was easier than I thought it would be :)
DeleteNice I like this effect! It looks good :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ananka! :)
DeleteYou did so good on your sugar spun mani! It came out fantastic! :) I've never done this myself... nail art scares me haha. But I do get the urge to try every once in a while, especially when I see all the beautiful manis, like yours, that I can achieve. :)

Thanks Yun! I usually avoid freehand nail art... I'm not very good at it lol but this is actually pretty easy to do!
DeleteOh. Beautiful sugar spun nails! :) I haven't tried these yet. :)
