OMD2 - 31DC - Jelly

Ok so since I can't sleep I decided to try to catch up a bit on manis and posting for this 31 day challenge! For this "Jelly" prompt I decided to do a jelly stamping sandwich. I really like the way this came out. The flowers remind me of those Hawaiian flowers! (I don't know the name of the actual flower :p)

I started with 3 coats of Essie - Marshmallow. Then I did some two tone stamping with Color Club - Tumblr Blue and Color Club - Yahoo Purple (both polishes I won in a giveaway I don't think these are available for purchase unfortunately).  The stamping plate is QA89 from Born Pretty Store. Use my discount code SL10K31 for 10% off! :) keep reading for full review on stamping plate. Then I sandwiched it with another coat of Essie Marshmallow and added some top coat.

Personally I think this mani looked better before adding another coat of Essie Marshmallow. Below you can see it with just the stamping (no Essie Marshmallow, no top coat).

Onto my review of the stamping plate!

Plate QA89 from Born Pretty Store.
I really like the designs on this stamping plate. I feel like I will probably use all the images on this plate at some point which is nice. It feels like a waste when I only like one image on a plate. The plate was etched very well and I had no issues picking up the image (I used the Konad red stamper and scraper). There are a few places where a bit of the image is missing but I think that is due to me taking too long trying to blend the colors since there aren't any areas where the image is consistently flawed on each nail. This plate doesn't have a paper backing but the edges aren't sharp. My only complaint with this plate is that the images are too close together. I used the image on the left of the plate and I kept accidentally picking up the image next to it with the roses as well as the first point in the crown. I needed to use a q-tip and nail polish remover to clean the other images off the stamper to avoid getting them on my nail which was a bit annoying. It is nice that there are so many images on the plate though... I feel like it is better value than other plates. So I guess the fact that they fit so many images on the plate is both good and bad.

What do you think of this mani? Do you like it more sandwiched or without the top jelly layer? What do you think of this plate? Do you mind the images on a plate being a bit cramped if it means you get more images?

Here are the other prompts if you're interested in joining! Full rules here

    1. Thanks Yun! I used a white jelly to try to get a more delicate look vs a stark white creme I'm glad you noticed that :)
